Hmm? Rose love its an insult, not flattery, the guy is saying you thought you could sell me, (as in forget our love etc) but im not even gonna bother selling you, as in I want to get rid of you even if I give you as a present for free but he's not saying he's worth more than that, only that you've hurt him so its his turn to hurt you back...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3BNXTyuHL8

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hJ41...eature=related

I would particularly know what they are saying about the khaliji dialect in the second video, and does anyone know who name of the presenter/host of this show is???

    Thanks in advance :-)
In the start he says: What do you say you sing us one of your great songs and she says that they were asking her to sing Sodfa earlier, so is that what they want..

Then they all begin to chant Sodfa

    (she sings)

    Then they all chant Yara

The guy starts to joke with the other guy about how he joined in to sing when they asked Yara to and the other guy says partnership is a good thing, so he says was it a partnership or were you taking the song from her. Yara says he takes a song from me and gives me a song from him, deal? and he goes ya we agree, host says you heard it here first on Taratata, and that after the break they have a wonderful surprise.
    ---
    Second Clip

they have the guys that made the song Sekkar Zeyada and he thanks them for the beautiful song and goes on to Yara asking her how it was to work with Fayez Saeed, she says she would need a full episode to speak of how great he is, and first and foremost good evening Im so happy

he says I am Fayez (a winner) for the love of the audience here at Taratata and Im Saeed (happy) for your presence here with me and the presence of all the Saudi entertainers with me.. then the host says about how he convinced her to sing in Khaliji dialect and how it was to work with her in Khaliji

and he says Yara is from the celebrities that are loved in all Arab nations and loved dearly in the Khaliji dialect from when she first sang her song Sedfa all Khaliji people loved her even more because she attempted their dialect and did great. she knew how to pronounce the words properly and portray the accent right so she is dear to their hearts and she was able to portray the Khaliji song in a big way to the world.

Host says and yes she was special in it, God bless her, then he says there are many names he can count and list that Fayez has worked with such as Mohamed Abdo, AbuBaker Salem, Abdel Karim, Abdel Qader, Abdel Majid, Abdallah Rashed, Almawajid, Asalah and many more big names he has worked with he has reached about 700 (music) pieces, God bless you Fayez, tell us how did you reach such a big number

He says: the first piece was in 2001 with a singer named Reem, and then Rashed elMajid, and then he worked with bigger names such as Asalah, Thekra (zekra) may she RIP, Latifah and Fulla and many Arab singers

Ok so you made your dreams come true because your dream was to work with AbuBaker Salem, now what is your dream?

Well my dream honestly is to not leave any Arab artist alone (he wants to work with all)

He's honest God bless his heart, Yara was a part of the 25th annual Operate Wahdet Watan [some event that took place in Saudi Arabia] marking her as the first female from Lebanon to participate, did you ever ask yourself "why did they pick me specifically?"

Yara says honestly this honors me and I was so happy to be a part of such an important festival and Im even happier that I worked with many big names in the Khalij and why they picked me as the only one to represent Lebanon Im not sure, I cant answer for them

It's a blessing from God, God loves her

Maybe this is proof of their belief in me and God willing I will live up to it

Host says: it's like we told you, you were very special in your Khaliji role, to Fayez Saeed you had a Jalsa with Rashed el Majed and you had recorded many songs Ya Doctora (Oh Doctor) and you sang many of the famous songs. So tell me whats the difference between singing a jalsa and recording a song, why does the audience love jalsa's more?
A jalsa is where it's taped on tv and they sit and sing in front of an audience, think of MTV Unplugged

Fayez: Jalsas are all live, not like the studio, the studio is recorded and you can fix the sound and the tracks, the jalsa is the most natural it's all live, if you mess up then the audience decides if you're a true artist or not, you have to sing your heart out, if you screw up (sing through your nose) the audience will see (hear), so the judge is the audience

Host: hahaha so it's a test basically, then he says they will be back after the Tarata break.

Ooops sorry, I did not see it! Thank you so much Daydream for all that detail! It makes so much better sense now because I watch Taratata all the time and pick up only bits and pieces but can't put all the words together to make sense. Shukran shukran.
